Razer are well known for producing some of the best peripherals for gaming, but they also have a bunch of great laptops on offer and one of them is the Razer Blade Stealth – one that might trick the untrained eye to believe that it’s a gaming laptop, when it actually is not. With these in mind, should you pay the big amount required to purchase Razer’s model? Read on to find out if the Razer Blade Stealth is worth buying or not!

So, first things first: while the Razer Blade Stealth can definitely handle some games and most likely handle all older games (think Skyrim and before), this is not a gaming laptop per-se. This is an ultrabook that offers amazing performance and if you want, it can also be upgraded with a Razer Core and turned into a gaming laptop. But the base version is not meant to handle the current generation games. It’s just a confusion most people make because Razer is a brand that’s mostly aimed at the gaming community.

However, the Blade Stealth is an amazing ultrabook: even though small (it has a 12.5″ display), its 4K Touch Screen Display gives you a 3840 x 2160 resolution which is absolutely impressive. Even more, the laptop itself looks fabulous: an impressive design, backlit keyboard (you have 16.8 million colors to choose from, in case you’re picky) and an ultrathin chassis that’s just 0.52″ thick. This means that the laptop itself is extremely light as well: just 2.75 lbs!

Of course, it’s not just the design that makes it a solid buy. It is powered by the 6th generation Intel Core i7 processor running at 2.5 GHz, it has 8 GB of RAM and an extremely fast 256 GB SSD (with 512 GB models available too) for storing your files. Even though it doesn’t have a dedicated graphics card, its integrated one is the Intel HD Graphics 520 which still delivers smooth visuals for daily use.

In conclusion, the Razer Blade Stealth is a laptop that’s worth buying if you’re not getting it for gaming. You can still game on it, but you have to pay the extra cost for the Core but I don’t really think it’s worth it since the display is a bit too small for gaming. For everyday use, though, this is a very powerful laptop that will surely offer great performance for the years to come. Plus it’s extremely light, which makes it incredibly easy to carry around and it also looks really slick to help you stand out and have a professional-looking laptop at the same time. It’s price is indeed high, but you’re paying for quality and a laptop that you’ll most likely be able to use without any major limitations for years to come.
