These Are the Most Expensive Laptops in 2021

Laptops vary in price from very cheap to really expensive. Today, we’re going to look at the latter and see what the most expensive laptops of 2021 offer for the money.

I’ll start by saying that indeed these are really good laptops, offering top performance and great specifications, but the prices are prohibitive for most of us. Even the best gaming laptops or top laptops for lawyers, for example, are nowhere near.

Anyway, for you own curiosity – and maybe for those who really want to purchase one of the best laptops available on the market today – we’ll look at the most expensive laptops in the world.

Note: We’re actually looking at the most expensive laptops on Amazon. There might be custom made laptops with gold insertions or other customized features that would cost even more… but those are more collectable than these, which are more or less mass produced. And very expensive!

While you would definitely get amazing products by choosing any of the most expensive laptops listed below, you can still get really good ones at half the price. Your choice, in the end.

Please note: Our blog gets commissions for purchases made through links in this article.

Now, let’s check out the top 5 most expensive laptops in 2021 in the table below:

If you want to get a bit more in depth with each of these high price laptops, let’s do it and see what each of them offers and why are they so expensive, after all.

EXPC MSI WS75

EXPC MSI WS75

This might be the most expensive laptop on Amazon at the moment of writing this article, but it is a beast of a laptop that really is worth all the money you’d spend on it.

Its specifications can easily put to shame even the most powerful, custom built desktop computers in the world. A truly amazing product – so let’s see what it offers.

First of all, it is powered by a 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake Core i9-10980HK octa-core processor that offers speeds of up to 5.3GHz. It’s blazing fast, also thanks to the 64GB of RAM it has equipped – an amount that will remain relevant for years to come.

It also has an amazing graphics card, the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 with 16GB of dedicated RAM. In other words, there’s absolutely nothing, at the moment, that this laptop can’t handle or do. Top notch quality!

And it also offers a ton of storage on ultra fast NVMe SSDs: you get 4TB of storage with writing and reading speeds of over 3GB per second.

This is a large laptop with a 17.3″ display and a great, 144Hz refresh rate for perfect image quality and especially video quality.

At this price and specifications, we can actually consider the fact that it’s “just” full HD instead of UHD a con, but definitely not a deal breaker if you have the money to spend on such an expensive but totally amazing laptop.

It also has a Thunderbolt slot, one USB-C but also a traditional USB Type A slot, plus HDMI and a card reader. Really, you can’t complain about anything but the price. Which is, in all honesty, fair taking into consideration its amazing specs.

ASUS ROG

Asus ROG Strix

From a truly AAA laptop, we’re moving to a good one – but one that might be a bit too expensive for what it is offering.

We’re getting a smaller laptop here, a gaming laptop created by ASUS, with a 15.6″ display and full HD resolution. But what matters are the rest of the specifications, which are way behind the top one above.

You’re only getting a Intel Hexa-Core i7-9750H processor and 32GB of RAM, paired with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU.

While these are not bad specifications by any means, it’s not really something to pay so much for either. Yes, it does offer plenty of storage: 1TB on a HDD and 2TB on a NVMe SSD, but that still doesn’t make it.

Most likely, we’re talking about a laptop that was top of the game a while ago, but didn’t get sold and the price remained the same. Sorry to say this, but for such an expensive laptop, the specifications are actually disappointing and even if you have that much money to spend, you would find a better deal somewhere else.

XPC Creator 17

MSI XPC Creator 17

Another MSI laptop, and this time one that truly deserves its really high price. Top specifications again and offering great competition to our most expensive one on the list.

This laptop is powered by a solid 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake Core i7-10875H processor, but also 64GB RAM. It has the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q GPU and also offers 4TB of NVMe SSD storage. Great specs!

Amazing, actually – even though still a bit behind our first recommendation, at least in terms of processing power. And even the GPU, despite being newer, is actually less impressive than the Quadro RTX 5000.

But it does have something to say it’s better at: the image quality, thanks to its 4K resolution. It’s also a large, 17.3″ laptop but with only 60Hz refresh rates, which could’ve been better.

But all in all, this is a very solid laptop that would remain top of the class for at least a couple of years from now on, should you decide to get it.

Acer VR Ready

Acer VR Ready

This seems to be a 2019 model that also must’ve remained stocked somewhere and nobody took the decision to lower the price. It’s definitely the least impressive on our list, even though it costs a lot of money to purchase.

While its specs are not bad for a laptop, if you compare them with the asking price, they’re not worht it.

You do get a large, 17.3″ full HD laptop with 32GB of RAM and a Intel Hexa-Core i7-8750H processor, with 2TB of SSD storage.

The dedicated GPU is pretty disappointing though: the GeForce GTX 1060. Having in mind that this one was released back in 2016, you easily tell that it’s no longer one of the best on the market. It’s a good GPU, but not for this money.

But this product is on the top list of the most expensive laptops on Amazon, so we had to include it here as well.

CUK ROG Strix Scar 17

asus rog strix 2

Last but not least comes another solid option for those with deep pockets and willing to invest in a high quality laptop. A major upgrade compared to the previous ROG model, this one is really worth all the money it’s asking for.

Powered by an Intel Core i9-10980HK processor and 64GB of RAM, it also offers massive, super-fast storage thanks to the 4TB NVMe SSDs that come equipped on it.

It also has a very good GPU installed, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super with an additional 8GB of dedicated RAM.

The large, 17.3″ display offers full HD resolution, but also an improved refresh rate of 144Hz, making videos and all moving images display better than on monitors with a lower refresh rate.

All in all, a solid laptop that is expensive, but at least you know that you’re paying for a good, high quality product.

Wrapping up

We can see that “most expensive” doesn’t always mean “the best”. On our list of really expensive laptops, we have two that can be considered a bit overpriced. But the other three – our first, third and final placed – are really high quality products.

Sure, most people don’t need all that they have to offer – not even those who play the latest games or edit 4K videos… but if you have the money and you want a top product, you know which they are now.
