Is the Razer Blade Stealth Worth Buying?

Is the Razer Blade Stealth Worth Buying?

Razer is well known for producing some of the best peripherals for gaming, but they also have a bunch of great laptops on offer and one of them is the Razer Blade Stealth – a laptop so small that many believe it’s not fit for gaming.

But they somehow managed to make it a beast for gamers and we’re going to learn everything about it today.

In other words, we’re going to answer some important questions, like whether the Razer Blade Stealth is good for games and, in the end, if it’s worth buying or not.

Is Razer Blade Stealth Good for Gaming?

While it is, in the end, your decision to make, based on all the data that we’ll be sharing today, it’s worth noting that Razer’s laptop is made to handle modern games with ease. It’s not cheap either – but we all know that Razer products are premium products priced accordingly.

However, this is an ultrabook – meaning that it is extremely thin. At just 0.6″ thick, it’s definitely lighter than most gaming laptops. But what might make it problematic for gamers is it’s small size, as it features a 13.3″ display.

This is a matter of personal preference, in the end. However, I recently upgraded to a 17″ laptop for gaming, because my regular 15.6″ was starting to seem a bit too small. So I can’t imagine playing games on 13.3-inch displays like the one offered by the Razer Blade Stealth.

It definitely depends on the type of games you play and whether you need your gaming laptop to be highly portable or not.

But to answer the question, yes, the Razer Blade Stealth is built as a solid gaming laptop and has some impressive specs under the hood.

Razer Blade Stealth: impressive specifications

I can’t even imagine how the Razer engineers managed to do it, but they were able to squeeze a lot in the tiny body or the Blade Stealth.

For starters, it’s worth noting that, at the moment of writing this article, there are actually 5 models available, all of them very similar (with minor differences in terms of refresh rates, processor and the quality of the display).

All Razer Blade Stealth have an impressive GPU, the GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q with 4GB of RAM. They all have 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, which really give you the possibility of easily playing even the most demanding modern games.

The main differences between the various models are the processor – you get either the i7-1065G7 or the i7-1165G7, as well as the refresh rates (60GHz or 120GHz). If you get this for gaming, you should definitely opt for the better processor and higher refresh rate.

The maximum resolutions vary too, from full HD to 4K resolution, with or without a touch display. On such a small screen, though, a 4K resolution is a bit too much in my opinion… but the choice is yours to make.

Even more, the laptop itself looks fabulous: an impressive design, backlit keyboard (you have 16.8 million colors to choose from, in case you’re picky) and an ultrathin chassis that’s just 0.6″ thick. Extremely portable for a gaming laptop!

While it follows the strange trend of not featuring an HDMI port, it does offer two Thunderbolt ports and two regular USB ones.

The audio quality is also premium, thanks to the 4 stereo speakers that it comes equipped with. They offer a 7.1 surround sound quality with pinpoint positional accuracy, which is perfect for games but also movies.

Razer Blade Stealth: Worth Buying or Not?

This is a premium laptop with a premium price. It is surprising to see that Razer managed to squeeze so much into so little space. For this reason alone, the ultrabook is a real work of art.

It is an amazing gaming laptop, one that can be easily used to play the most modern games, as well as do various other resource-intensive tasks. From photo to video editing and all the way to streaming live videos from your laptop, the Blade Stealth has everything you need.

It looks good, it is extremely easy to carry around and it does have a lot to offer.

So if you’re always on the move and high portability is something you really need, the Razer Blade Stealth is probably the best small-screen laptop on the market right now. You simply can’t get anything that can tick all the boxes that it does.

On the other hand, if you’re just looking for your next gaming laptop and you’re not anticipating to move it around that often, the small screen might be a turn-off.

To me, it definitely is. 13.3″ is a bit too little for me and for the price of a Razer Blade Stealth, you can easily purchase a laptop with similar specs, but a larger screen. Even the Razer Blade 15 fits the category, offering some amazing specifications for a lower price.

In conclusion, the answer to the question depends on whether you want a large screen laptop for gaming, or you’d be better off with a smaller one. The specifications of the Blade Stealth are amazing, the laptop itself is amazing and you’ll absolutely love it… as long as it’s a small screen you want.
